The amount of $12.5 B by Google to buy Motorola is a so-so deal. It is not bad, and it cannot be said as the greatest choice. Android is pointed as the basic supporting software which is expected to gain Google's image.
The Chief Executive of Google Larry Page argued that it is such a marvelous choice to bring up the Android just because of its quantity of usage around the world. It was not really an answer from a prominent cyberist like him. He should have added some supporting point about the quality and how Android can be promising in the future, and all.
In addition, regarding Motorola that has over 80-year experience is a way slightly awkward. Quality is not only measured by the age, but also performance day by day. In fact of market place, the secondhand price of Motorola phones is far cheaper than the new ones. Its fast-dropped selling is not really considered by the Google.
But perhaps the plus value of Motorola is the futuristic models. Motorola mostly offers various thin yet elegant styles of cell phones. For example given by Page, the first slim phone, StarTAC, was a leading slim handset I its era. Then Motorola has come with the compact RAZR, until this age of DROIDs.
Moreover, Motorola is a product of the United States that it is easy for Google to spur around the country first. As a superpower country, the name of United States is unquestioningly saleable. In addition, working with domestic partner can press output needed to buy the stock.
It seems like the merge with Motorola is just a beginning for Google to expand its domination in the internet era. After that, it is possible that there will be news spreading that Google has probably bought Samsung or even Ericsson.
